type='text'>Great Reno Fire 2011</title><content type='html'>&lt;div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"&gt;I woke up at 3am this morning to news of a fire in the Caughlin Ranch area of Reno, NV. &amp;nbsp;The television was saying that homes were threatened, the wind was blowing and the fire was spreading.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Soon after, my phone was exploding with texts and Facebook was full of friends posting more details about the event. &amp;nbsp;People were posting pictures of homes burning in their backyard. &amp;nbsp;The pictures were surreal as the fire was moving, homes burning, neighborhoods under siege.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had numerous coworkers evacuated and another whose yard was totally engulfed in flames. &amp;nbsp;We were all texting and calling and trying to comfort one other.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At this time, 10,000 people have been evacuated, over 400 acres have burned. &amp;nbsp;We are having hurricane force winds of up to 85 miles an hour and over 25 homes have been destroyed. &amp;nbsp;The fire is 0% contained.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The evacuation area is large, three High Schools have become evacuation centers. &amp;nbsp;Our Real Estate office is in the middle of the evacuation area and fire storm.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our home has become an evacuation center for our friend Dorothy, her daughter Alex and Company (3 dogs). &amp;nbsp;A small gesture we can make to our friend in need.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Please consider helping our community. &amp;nbsp;Reno is a small town. &amp;nbsp;I know several who have lost homes, more whose neighborhoods were devastated and many others who know someone, who knows someone.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The local Red Cross is taking donations and in the coming days people are going to need clothing, food and shelter. &amp;nbsp;Please find the compassion to help my neighbors!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Our prayers go out to everyone in need...may God bless our Leading up to the season there is countless hours, days, weeks, and months that go into planning, strategizing and putting together a winning formula. They don’t just show up on opening day and wing it. We all know what would happen if they did.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Life and sports have so much in common. When we start our year we really need to approach it just like a new season in football, with the goal of winning our Super Bowl. The definition of winning a Super Bowl may be different for everyone, but the steps it takes to give us the best chance at accomplishing our goals is the same. We need to plan, strategize and take the time to put together our winning formula before the new season starts…don’t just show up on opening day and wing it. If we do, we are going to get CRUSHED!!!!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In Business this means putting together a Business Plan…in Life it is putting together a Life Plan. It is about taking the time to put together a plan for all the areas of our F-5 (Faith, Family, Friends, Fitness, and Finance). So many of us wait until the New Year before we take time to even consider what we are going to do to Win. I am here to tell you if we wait until then, we are winging it and we are going to get CRUSHED.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of the things we encourage everyone to do at Intero is to create their Business Plan in October…yes 3 months before the New Year. We know this will not only help them kick off the New Year on fire, but it will help them finish this year strong.
